In reality, why settle for "not bad"? Here are nine tips that can help you frankly look forward to Mondays!

Keep The Same Sleep Schedule on Weekend

It isn't always going to be possible, but for the most part, keeping your bed and wake-up times consistent will make your Mondays much easier. If you let loose late on Saturday night, try to get back on track Sunday.

Disconnect on The Weekend

You might not be lucky enough to have every weekend off, but it is vital to make the most of each day you do have off. Disconnect from your devices for a while. Spend some time relaxing or pampering yourself. Do something you love.

Create A Monday Morning Ritual

Make your Monday a little more special with a ritual or routine. Maybe Monday is your meditation morning, and you might choose to go to your favourite coffee shop each morning. Whatever it is, pick something you enjoy and make it your Monday ritual.

Prep For Monday on Friday

Everyone loves to take an early Friday, but consider taking some time to plan your Monday. 10 - 15 minutes is all you need. Map out a Monday that will set you up for the week. Doing it on Friday helps you truly disconnect from work on the weekend.

Flip Your Internal Script

A lot of our Monday blahs are because of our mindset. People constantly talk about hating Mondays or share memes about hating Mondays. Make an effort to stop that kind of thinking. Think of Monday as just another day, or even better, a great way to kick off your week.

Connect With Your Favourite People

Make an effort to reach out to some of your favourite individuals. It could be as simple as chatting with your favourite co-worker about your weekend or text messaging with someone who always makes you laugh.

Grab A Special Lunch

Leave the ploughman's sandwich at home on Mondays. Make Monday the day you treat yourself.  Grab your favourite take out, or meet a friend at your famous local spot. No matter what you choose, try to make lunch special on Mondays.

Make Fun Plans After Work

If you want to look forward to Mondays, plan activities that you look forward to doing. Monday's can become the day you meet friends at a local tavern, and it could become your board game night. Maybe Monday becomes the day you practice your favourite pursuits.

Do Something Nice for Someone

One of the best ways to boost your mood is to do something nice for someone else. Many people have a problem with Mondays, and if you can find a way to increase their mood, it will inspire you. It's a win-win.

Fast action, step 1: Take 5-10 minutes and brainstorm all the reasons you hate Mondays.

Fast action, step 2: Examine your list. Pick 2-3 things from the list that are within your control. The easier to address, the better.

Fast action, step 3: Create a plan to address these Monday issues, and then take action!
