I’m sure you’ve heard about mental health issues before. And yes, they affect millions of us every year. But did you know that over half of us may experience some mental illness at least once during our lifetime?
Mental illness can be depicted as a disease which causes an individual to experience severe disturbances in their moods, thoughts, emotions, behaviours, or ability to function at work or home.
The World Health Organization stated that "urban environments had been very commonly associated with higher rates of most mental health issues”

What is depression
Depression is a mood disorder that involves a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It is different from the mood fluctuations that people regularly experience as a part of life.
It’s easy to think of emotions as being positive or negative, but it can be helpful to see them merely as information - whether they be good, bad or indifferent. An emotional feeling is just your body’s way of telling you that something around you needs your attention. For example, when you hear a sudden loud noise, you feel scared.
Emotions are something you can’t see and you can’t touch them either. But one thing you can do, and that is to feel them! Some people are excellent at having their emotions buried down in the recesses of their being, protecting themselves from being hurt by other people.
