We are all born with a certain amount of intuition. From a very young age, the problem is that we are often told to ignore our emotions or that our feelings are just wrong. Much like force-feeding an infant can cause the child to ignore their natural hunger control mechanism, it is the same with emotions.
If you look up self-reliance in the dictionary, it will tell you that it means that you can follow your capabilities, judgment, or resources to be independent.
To do that, you’ll need to learn to accept responsibility for everything you do without depending on what someone else says, does or thinks.
As adults we tend to be opinionated about how teenagers have become in the last decade or so. Playing the devil’s advocate here, what if the teens and students are under a great deal of stress and we are simply refusing to acknowledge it?
